Delete your Plenzo account
- In the Plenzo app: Settings, then Data & Privacy, then Delete your account.
- Without the app: email support@plenzo.app from the address linked to your account and ask us to delete it.
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in your store’s subscription settings.
What we delete and how long we may keep some data is described in the Privacy Policy.
What we delete
A request made in the app blocks access to your account straight away. For a request by email, we first confirm that it comes from the account holder. If you write from a different address (for example, because you sign in with Apple and keep your email hidden), we’ll ask for the information needed to confirm this. We then delete the following from our systems without undue delay, and no later than 30 days after receiving the request:
- your profile and sign-in account
- bank connections — we also revoke Plenzo’s access at our open-banking provider (Tink)
- transactions, balances, budgets, goals, tags, notes and asset records
- attachments (photos and PDF files)
- notification tokens and notification settings
- app analytics data linked to your account
Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone.
What we keep, and for how long
Only what we need, and only for a limited time:
- secured backups: deleted data can remain in them for up to 14 days
- the technical status of the deletion: up to 48 hours, to confirm that it finished
- the record of your acceptance of the Terms (version, date, declaration that you are 18 or over): 7 years after the account is closed
- records of consents you gave or withdrew (for example, to the newsletter): up to 7 years after the consent is withdrawn
- support conversations: up to 6 months after the case is closed; formal complaints: 7 years
- an account deletion request sent by email and the correspondence about it: up to 24 months after the case is closed; a minimal record of how it was handled: 7 years
- data we must keep by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims: only as long as that requires
